Overview of networks

peaq’s ecosystem includes multiple networks in order to ensure the best possible setup for anyone building in it.

An overview of our planned and completed parachain deployments is as follows:

• peaq: deployment on Polkadot (Planned Q2-Q3 2023)
• krest: deployment on Kusama (Planned Q1 2023)
• Agung: deployment on the Rococo testnet (October 2022)

This setup allows us to de-risk software upgrades to peaq on Polkadot in the future as well as test peaq’s economics and social behavior with real scarcity by leveraging Kusama. 

peaq 

peaq aims to be a production parachain in Polkadot. The code running on the peaq mainnet will be vetted through one or more of the other networks listed above. peaq will offer parachain-related functionalities such as XCMP and SPREE, as these features become available.

krest

In advance of deploying to the Polkadot mainnet, peaq will launch krest as a parachain on the Kusama network. krest will offer parachain-related functionalities such as XCMP and SPREE as these features become available.

agung

This testnet is a network hosted by EoTLabs. It features a parachain/relay chain scheme. The goal is to allow developers to test their developments in a shared parachain environment without needing to run their own nodes or network.
